8:30-9:00 | The children enter the school through the side garden gate. They are greeted by a garden teacher and guided into the dressing room where they have a designated place for their coat, shoes and change of clothes. A teacher helps the child help him/herself and prepare for entering the classroom. |
9:00 -11:45 | The child enters the classroom and has the freedom to choose work independently. Throughout the morning, teachers give group and individual lessons, guiding the child through the classroom. During this time the children can have snack whenever they are hungry and they choose from a wide variety of fruit and vegetables as well as crackers or muesli. |
11:45-12:15 | Current events are discussed, new curriculum topics are introduced and songs are sung about a variety of subjects. (Weather, colors, safety, dinosaurs, friendship, etc) |
12:15-12:30 | In preparation for lunch, the children go to the toilet, wash their hands and the lunch helper begins to serve his friends. |
12:30-1:00 | Families have a choice of a home cooked, nutritious hot lunch or bringing a packed cold lunch for their child. |
1:00-2:30 | The children are free to choose their individual work or join in group activities as follows; |
2:30-3:00 | Children who have napped rejoin their classes to have their afternoon snack as a group and then get ready to go outside. |
3:00-4:00 | At one of our two local parks we explore nature, observe seasons changing, play group games, go sledding, climb, jump in puddles, dig in the sand and enjoy life outside! |
4:00-4:30 | Full day and afternoon children are picked up via the front door.

Beginning in November all children attending the full day session will have a music program. A special interest teacher will visit the school once a week for group lessons. | |
